For paint correction work, it is preferred for us to inspect the
vehicle before
commencing work. Recommendations will be made on the amount of work the
vehicle needs, including any work in the interior and engine bay. If
you choose to book any of our detailing services a small deposit will be
required to secure the booking and deposit will be knocked off final
bill.
We keep a close eye on the market and strive to gain
further knowledge of the latest industry innovations by attending
courses, trade shows and being active on professional valeting forums.
Many new cars aren’t as new as you may wish they were. Defects that
occur along the production line are sometimes quickly sorted out without
due care and removal of the transportation films, often covered in dirt
due to sitting around can cause major defects if not removed
carefully. Dealers will sometimes then give the vehicle a quick wash
over with devastating results. There is the option of having the
vehicle corrected and protected with paint sealants and waxes of your choice before or after collection depending on your
requirements and the co-operation of the dealer. Each case is individual
so please contact for further information.

Correction Detail
Over 95% of vehicles fall into the category of needing a full
correction detail, due to paint contamination, swirl marks & fine
scratches. Once your vehicle's paint has been corrected to a showroom
finish, this level of work will rarely
need to be carried out to such an extent again as long as the finish is
maintained. It consists briefly of the following stages:
- Paint depth readings taken and recorded. Allow high
and low spots to be recorded along with finding any repair work that
may need special attention.
- Citrus degreaser applied to whole vehicle.
- Glue and tar remover applied locally where required.
- Wheels, tyres, arches and door shuts pre soaked.
- Pre soaked with foam then rinsed, process repeated if necessary.
- Body and wheels washed with various detailing brushes & paint friendly lambs wool mitts then rinsed.
- Waffle weave towels used to dry vehicle.
- Paint decontamination process with clay.
- Trim treated to remove dressing build up.
- Vehicle rewashed and dried.
- Machine
polish all surfaces including windows and lights if required to remove
defects. Repeat application if required. In some cases we will use 3
different grades of polish with various poloshing pads.
- Vehicle rewashed and dried if necessary to remove polish residue.
- Paintwork cleaner applied to prepare paintwork for coatings.
- Glaze applied to produce depth in the finish.
- Sealant and/or wax applied as required. Depends on paint type.
- Wax/Sealant applied to wheels
- Dressing applied to tyres and trim.
- Exterior metal and chrome cleaned and polished.
- All glass surfaces cleaned.
The level of wheel and arch cleansing is dependant on access. Some
clients request wheels to be removed to allow full treatment of complex
designs and multiple layers of sealant/wax to be applied to add
protection, including unseen internal surfaces, which also aids future
cleaning.
